I found myself in wandering in SM Aura Premier a few weekends ago. I was actually looking for a pastry store to buy a cake for a friend and felt being lured into this particular store with too good looking to eat bread with catchy, quirky names. I was quick to grab a tray and thongs and went berserk piling pretty breads on my tray. Right then and there, I knew I was in trouble.

I'm a sissy when it comes to trying out exotic things but if you try really hard, I just ~might~ change my mind. This was the case when I had a dinner date with College friends in Naga, of all places, and finally had my first taste of chevon.

The UP Industrial Engineering Club, a duly recognized organization based in the University of the Philippines – Diliman College of Engineering presents one of its major fundraising events this year, FOODPORT: Your Gateway To A World of Food.
FOODPORT is a food fair featuring cuisines from various countries and cultures. It will be held at the Christ the King Parish Multipurpose Hall along Greenmeadows Avenue on November 30 – December 1, 2013. FOODPORT targets the growing local demand for foreign flavors, as shown by popularity of Banchetto, Mercato and similar food markets.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the UP IE Club Scholarship Fund, which sends bright but underprivileged students through college. See you there :)

Exchange your old coffee machine, get the CBTM Kaldi coffee machine at 50% off and help contribute to the survivors of Super Typhoon Haiyan!
This is CBTL's way of expressing their biggest #thankyoufor50 treat for their 50th Anniversary celebration, and in light of the recent Super Typhoon Yolanda, CBTL has decided to donate 100% of all machine sales to all those affected by the typhoon. This will be done in cooperation with Red Cross PH, Habitat for Humanity, and Operation Blessing.
The Great Exchange event will be happening on November 15 - 17, 2013 at the following CBTL branches: 26th St. Bistro Net Lima, 26th St. Bistro Shangri-La and CBTL Coffee Bar Tuscany.
In trying times like this, help out in anyway you can. What you give out, always comes back a hundredfold.

For my second and official send-off celebration, I was thinking of going Japanese. To my officemates and friends, that's probably a given. I had my mind's eye set to Yabu's sinfully enticing Salmon Katsu but Yabu doesn't accept reservations and it always is jam-packed during peak hours. I didn't want my officemates to starve on account of me, so my backup plan was to try out Hokkaido Ramen Santouka based on the decent reviews online.
