Orange Chicken Meal

If I get my "I want Chinese food" cravings and am too lazy or tired to actually go to the mall or any place farther than a 30 minute drive. I go for Chowking, I seriously dig their Emperor's Beef Noodles, Chao Fan and Halo-Halo.
But their Orange Chicken? Blech.
Why you ask? It's either my taste buds have gone haywire or there's something about the sauce that has some resemblance to medicine or cough syrup. So, imagine yourself taking a spoonful of cough syrup each time you bite and chew on the chicken. And oh, did you also notice that lone, puny looking orange by itself?
I wish I could love this latest creation of theirs, but it's really a fail for me on this one. I'm not saying that other people will not like it, in fact I think there's a lot of people who order this when they dine in Chowking. All I'm saying is that my first time to eat their Orange Chicken is also the last time. Sad but true.
