Greenwich: Big Time Lunch

Big Time Lunch C + French Fries
Php 129.00 or $ 2.93 (Big Time Lunch C)
Php 49.00 (Solo Fies) - Php 89.00 (Sharing) or $ 1.11 - $ 2.02

Greenwich has been my go to place when I wanted to satisfy my pizza and pasta cravings and stay within my budget, since it practically has a lot of branches nationwide which has made it very convenient for us customers and they happen to serve my favorite version of lasagna which I think, in my own humble opinion even surpasses Goldilocks' version of lasagna.

What's In My Bag?

I tinkered with my Flickr account and integrated my food blog with it, but why a "what's in my bag?" post you ask?

Giligan's Island Restaurant and Bar Part 2 (A Lunch Date With College Friends and A Favorite IT Instructor)

Late last month, our BSIT batch decided to have a casual lunch date with one of our IT instructors. We decided to go with Giligan's because the food's affordable but you definitely get your money's worth.

We occupied two adjoined tables and yet when the food came out one by one, our place was cramped! Haha, let me fill you in how much we ordered and pigged out that day.

Starbucks Coffee: Glazed Old Fashioned Doughnut

Price unavailable (Kill me if I throw away the receipt again!)

I do not know what got into me when I ordered this. I thought it didn't looked THAT SWEET compared to the other pastries and breads tempting me as they sat, looking pretty and dainty in the glass cabinet display. I thought I made the right decision.

One bite said it all, I didn't finish it. They glazing was too thick and too sweet for my liking. It was literally a diabetes inducing snack. It was too sweet that I couldn't distinguish the taste of my frappe. Good thing Chum gobbled up 3/4 of the doughnut for me and finished my chocolate cream chip frappucino too.

Can anyone suggest anything else WAAAAAY LESS SWEETER than this? :)

Home Made Onion Rings

Coming from someone who doesn't seem to dig onion rings too much, I was a bit surprised when Chum suggested we make our own onion rings the other day. We both didn't have any idea how to make one so we tried Mrs. Kolca's very own onion rings recipe. This is not a "how to" article. We made our onion rings entirely the way Mrs. Kolca posted in her blog.

Kenny Rogers Roasters: Panna Cotta

Panna Cotta
Estimated at Php 85.00 - 95.00 or $1.91 - 2.14

Let me be very crystal clear that I am no expert when it comes to testing if a panna cotta is topnotch or not, but to me, Kenny Rogers Roaster's version of it rocks.

A bite offers your taste buds a wonderful explosion of a sweet, soft, creamy texture with a slight tang of the peaches on top. I couldn't even force myself to finish this even though it tasted heavenly, though it looks like it's not that much in the photo, it's really very rich and fills you up quickly.

I am beginning to be a non dessert person since I think I'm beginning to lose my sweet tooth, but KR's panna cotta just hits the right spot that I'd gladly dig in for more soon.
