Revisiting Mey Lin Pot And Noodle House
Aside from being Japanese cuisine aficionados, BF and I have developed a love for Chinese cuisine as well (although nothing too exotic for me, I try to play it safe and common with my meat choices, thank you very much), and what better restaurant to enjoy good Chinese food than at Mey Lin Pot and Noodle House. I find out for myself that rain or shine, I always crave for their hearty noodle soups that never fails to hit the right spot.

Celebrating 5 Years With Chum @The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak
Last October 12, 2010 BF and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Initially we didn't plan to dine out that day, but on the day itself, I felt that it only happens once a year and it would be great to dine out, even somewhere not so fancy since we were trying to save up. BF got his medical exam results first, that showed no adverse results so that's great news for us. Then came the hard part, DECIDING WHERE TO EAT.
BF has been trying to play safe when it comes to restaurant and fast food choices, I on the other hand am willing to try almost anything once, and repeat if I get hooked. So the playing safe BF initially vouched for KFC, the man likes his gravy. I wasn't really feeling it since KFC branches are always crowded, noisy and somewhat unkempt, although the food is great nevertheless, I just wanted to steer clear of crowds and background noises for the day.
I was craving for rice since I only had little to eat that morning, a favorite place instantly popped into my mind, The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak! BF likes it there so he no qualms about my decision. :)

Red Kimono
I haven't really read any reviews about Red Kimono, but one fateful day I just happened to have one of my Japanese food craving modes ON, BF and I were in the UP Ayala Land TechnoHub for the 2nd time and knew that there was a Red Kimono branch there, so the adventurous foodie in me braved the unknown and tried to set my expectations not so high for fear that the experience might fail to meet my standards.
We went inside and the place was full of customers, primarily because it was lunch time. Although I think a jam packed place is a good omen to look for in gauging how good their food and services are. I love the clash of the wood and dark decors, plus the larger than life color accent photos hung up every possible corner. It really gave off the Japanese ambiance with a twist.

Yellow Cab Pizza Co.
For people working in offices 8 hours or more daily, it's just common to get so caught up in their work that's why online food ordering and speedy delivery is heaven sent, or sometimes you just go craving just because you can't get that darn awesome pizza you had out of your mind, just a few days before, courtesy of your officemate's obligatory office birthday treat.
BF and I are specially fond of Yellow Cab's New York's Finest and Brooklyn's Pizza's White Pizza(whew! that's a lot of 's!!!) because the taste is superb and delivery time is on the dot each and every order, and somehow we missed all of that since we worked at home for almost a year for a software development company just starting up.
I keep on pestering BF from time to time to grab something from Yellow Cab and maybe even finally try their famous Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta which I keep reading good comments about. So one day, he finally gave in and even paid for everything. *grin*
