Revisiting Mey Lin Pot And Noodle House

Aside from being Japanese cuisine aficionados, BF and I have developed a love for Chinese cuisine as well (although nothing too exotic for me, I try to play it safe and common with my meat choices, thank you very much), and what better restaurant to enjoy good Chinese food than at Mey Lin Pot and Noodle House. I find out for myself that rain or shine, I always crave for their hearty noodle soups that never fails to hit the right spot.

Chicken Mushroom Noodle Soup (Meal Size)
Estimated at Php 195.00 or $ 4.51

A fellow blogger, u8mypinkcookies has been raving about their Chicken Mushroom Noodle Soup for the longest time and I finally decided to try it out for myself. Turns out, she had every right to rave about it. It had that subtle yet perfect broth. I loved how tender and tasty the chicken meat were, plus the fact that my noodle soup had so many chicken meat in it! I practically shared quite a few pieces to BF and still had a hard time devouring everything up. This noodle soup, shall I say, somewhat really has that calming and soothing effect, perfect for when you're under the weather, but still can be enjoyed just because you want to.

Seafood Noodle Soup (Meal Size)
Php 195.00 or $ 4.51

BF, for the record is not a fan of repetition but when it comes to their Seafood Noodle Soup, I don't think there was never a time he passed up on this. I completely understand him, because how can he complain about this noodle soup when its loaded with seafood, veggies, perfectly made hand-pulled noodles and a broth that compliments everything to a tee. This I think is one of their many best sellers too.

Radish Cake
Estimated at Php 95.00 or $ 2.20

Sorry about the estimate in prices, it doesn't help that their website shows 0 in all the prices. I ordered this for our appetizer and boy, I made a wrong move. This sinks in so heavy on the tummy that I had a hard time finishing this up. Although I loved that they served it piping hot and one should bite with caution so as not to burn your tongue. Every Radish Cake is perfectly crispy on the outside and yet sticky, soft and gooey on the inside. The overall taste resembles another food although I can't put my mind onto it for now.

Given the diversity and quantity of appetizers, noodles, desserts and other dishes they offer, I'm sure BF and I will certainly be back for more, rain or shine.
