Pizza Making On Christmas Day

BF and I have developed a habit of cooking together almost anything that struck our fancy. Although we love our sushi, my side of the family don't take well the "raw" food issue, so last Christmas we agreed to just make some pizza for his family and mine.

If you remember the problem we encountered the last time we attempted to make pizza, the bacon strips didn't get brown and crunchy since we used our oven, the problem was the heat only coming from below, and the cheese turned out to be runny and not at all stringy and gooey. So this time around, we used a turbo broiler and used mozzarella cheese to get that gooey effect we were aiming for.

I'd like to apologize for the less than stellar photo quality, maybe my hands were just too tired chopping ingredients and decorating the pizza, plus! hurrying up so that everyone can taste it whilst it was hot off the oven, err turbo broiler. The bacon and other toppings got crunchy this time, but what we didn't gauge correctly was the amount of cheese needed. All in all, we made 4 pizzas and used only 1 pack of mozzarella cheese, well, lesson learned. Our home made pizza [version 3] will be sooo good, I'm sure of it.

Your pig out buddy,
