Met up with Batch, my BFF, just this past weekend. I slept in that day and went to the mall with a hungry stomach. We wanted to try something, somewhere new at first, but even after looking at Orchard Road's and Gotti's menu, Batch eventually "hinted" she wanted to go back to Bigby's, haha. I was darn hungry so I didn't object anymore.
Tomato and Vegetable Soup

The place wasn't as packed compared to our first visit so it was easy to get seated in one of the corner booths. Our server suggested we try their soup of the day for only PHP 50.00. Knowing that our other orders would take time to be served, we agreed. To our surprise, what we thought would be a soup served in a minuscule bowl turned out to be otherwise!
The soup reminded us of Menudo, only a tad bit more sour and with spiral shaped pasta. For the price it was well worth it, but it sort of filled us up much too quickly.
Mandarin Haystack Salad

Dining with Batch will never be complete without a salad. Since I figure she would be the one to gobble most of it up, she chose our salad, Mandarin Haystack. We learned that they named it literally as it really looked like a haystack. :P We couldn't figure out most of what's underneath but to help you out guys, there's some veggie-slaw, grilled chicken breasts, tomatoes, mandarin oranges,eggs in sesame dressing under the crispy noodles and shoestring potatoes. Though it did live up to it's name as a literal haystack, there were very few mandarin orange slices.
Eating this salad is HARD! I ended up separately munching on the crispy noodles and crispy shoestring potatoes.
Food Trip Platter

I wasn't impressed with the platter we got, I wish we should have just stuck with the Triple Crunch Platter or chose something else with less common food included.
Dippy - Doodle - Doo. Crispy chicken fillet with mustard dip. Nothing special, moving along...
Tijuana Quesadillas with salsa dip. The cheese they used for filling was good but how I wish they put a bit more of it as majority of what I could taste with every bite was the thick wrapper.
BBQ Fries. It was okay and generously sprinkled with the BBQ powder but it's too common, don't you agree?
Chili Flappers. I didn't like this. I got fed up with the strong flavor of the sauce they used on the chicken wings. The Buffalo Wings in Pizza Hut Bistro were far better in my humble opinion.
Deep Sea Pasta
PHP 265.00 or $ 6.09
Garlic shrimps with rich, crab fat sauce on spaghetti noodles. Since I'm in love with crab fat and have it regularly via Chum's Crab Rice, I instantly liked this pasta dish. Batch got a little bit overwhelmed and fed up maybe because they were so generous with the crab fat sauce. Cholesterol alert!!! :)
Just a little piece of advice, if you plan on ordering this, finish it right away cause we noticed that the crab fat went cold and started to harden a bit due to the air-conditioning set up of the restaurant. Yikes!
Strawberry Short Cake
PHP 165.00 or $3.79
Our brunch was almost over and we were both not that satisfied yet. Thankfully, their Strawberry Short Cake saved the day. The only thing that could've made this perfect was if their strawberries were sweet. Oh, if only I wasn't so full by this time I could've finished this all by myself!
Conclusion? We wouldn't be going back so soon, if we would be, it probably will be due to their divine Strawberry Shortcake. Oh well, see on my next pig out sessions! :)
