Terrible Service At Teriyaki Boy

If by any chance, I would be able to choose my nationality other than being a Filipino, I would choose to be Japanese. It would be such an easy decision for me, all because I love Japanese food. I think it's pretty obvious since from that start I've shared with you guys numerous Japanese themed pig out sessions, and don't forget BF and I also make occasional DIY sushi just to get our sushi fix.

Asupara Bacon Maki
PHP 195.00 or $ 4.50

I always read "everything's better wrapped in bacon", and decided it's time to find out myself if  there's any truth into that. My verdict? Nothing special. I guess  I'm just not that much of a bacon lover to begin with.

I do appreciate the fact that the bacon had just the right amount of saltiness and that the asparagus stalks were still crunchy. I just DISLIKE the way my order's been haphazardly made. It may not show in the photos but some weren't correctly wrapped that I had to squeeze them together to keep from falling apart.

Cheese Steak Roll
PHP 180.00 or $ 4.16

I also ordered for myself their Cheese Steak Roll. To be honest they take kinda forever to serve my orders. It wasn't just with me as I've noticed other diners impatiently waiting for food and yes, even their bills. So when they served the Cheese Steak Roll  I was sort of disappointed AGAIN at the almost careless way they made it.

If you make sushi, maki, roll or whatever you want to call it. You would have to squeeze the ingredients together while rolling or shaping them so everything gets intact. Well, they obviously skipped that part because  some of the rolls were breaking apart just as I was picking them up.

With regards to taste,  I have no complaints, I even marvel how do they make or  where do they get their cheese because it was divine and not overly salty at all. The only downers were the loooooong serving time and haphazard preparations of my orders.

If you know the cheese they are using, please tell me. I'd love to experiment on our next sushi making session. :)

After finishing my meal in peace, I asked for my bill which took quite a while to surface. The waitress even half threw it on my table, and left in haste. I quickly put the money inside and what do you know, it took another couple of light years for the waitress to get back to me. Just as the same way she handed me my bill was the way she handed me the change and receipt, almost throwing it on my table and leaving as if someone was after her. I understand that it might have been a busy hour but it still doesn't allow her to act like Flo in Diner Dash.

Oh Teriyaki Boy, I liked you before, but what is happening to your quality of service? Even if your food tastes great, if I get the same kind of treatment, regardless of the branch, I swear I'll quit on you. There are after all, many fish in the sea where I can get my Japanese food fix and come out smiling and satisfied. Oh well, till the next pig out session. :)
