What I had for Maundy Thursday. No, Chum didn't cook this one because he had work,boo. Manang, our house helper is the one behind this hearty, thick, and rich congee that's really filling but is too good to resist that it made us go back for seconds.
I don't know about you, but I like to drown mine with A LOT of chopped spring onions, crispy, tasty fried garlic and a helping of freshly squeezed calamansi juice to amp up the flavors more. As simple as this dish is pictured out to be, eating it tells a way different story. So, what did you guys had for Holy Week? See you on my next pig out session. :)
