Mango Ice Cream Crepe
PHP 155.00 or USD 3.56
Don't ask me why I stray away from the restaurant's specialty most of the time. At this point, I've gone beyond caring. I don't even know why myself. I just like to think of it as a good thing, I get to discover more hits and unfortunately enough, some misses.Yes, I can be that stubborn. :)
Which makes me think, is there a standard that crepes follow? Should it be soggy or crispy? Should it be bursting with sweetness or have no flavor at all and just rely on the filling you put inside?
Arroz ala Cubana
PHP 220.00 or USD 5.05
This was Batch's order. Overall, she liked her food albeit it could be a bit spicier. I don't have any qualms about it, but I just have to point this out, why so expensive?
Fiesta Taco Salad
PHP 215.00 or USD 4.94
According to their menu this is a house specialty. At first we couldn't validate, specially since they used "Chippy" corn chips (I mean come on, is this a joke?), but all we had to do was dig in to find out for ourselves that it actually jives well with the rest of the salad! The Chippy bits provide an interesting kick and don't forget to add the awesome special dressing and you have got yourself a salad that's very addicting!
It was actually a great dinner, except for the overpriced Arroz ala Cubana which I can't justify the price. Oh well, at least I know which dishes I won't be ordering! See you on my next pig out sessions!
