Nom Nom Adventures: Tokyo Cafe

My cravings are contagious, if you want proof ask my office mates! We'll go broke even before the next payday because of me. :P

Creamy Ebiko Pasta PHP 258.00 or USD 5.84. This pasta piqued my curiosity because of the karahashi ebiko bits and more than generous portions of deveined shrimp topped on a creamy bed of pasta BUT serving suggestions and menus almost always exaggerate, and that time was no exception. Quantity wise, I wasn't that satisfied. Taste wise, it was good enough but not life changing. Their pasta was bordering on al dente and under cooked but it works! Shrimps were fresh and succulent, although I was expecting more ebiko bits as I badly wanted that nice popping feeling in my palate.

Tomato Bacon Cream PHP 218.00 or USD 4.94. Ekai's pasta preference. She couldn't polish her plate clean because there were just too many things going on in her plate. Too many tomato bits, too many bacon bits and I think if her pasta were alive, it would have drowned in its sauce (not complaining!). Hehe kidding aside, this should be worth your hard earned money. :)

Peaches and Cream Crepe PHP 105.00 or USD 2.38. Their crepes could be hit or miss thing, I guess. It really depends on the variety you choose. This was Ekai's order and overall it did not disappoint. She was even wowed at the cake frosting like consistency and taste of the whipped cream used which I guess made up for the peach slivers that seemed taken straight out of the can.

Choco Strawberry Crepe PHP 110.00 or USD 2.49. This was my order and I have to say I didn't liked it that much. The strawberry ice cream scoop literally had pieces of ice inside, they put too much strawberry jam that I had to scrape it off the crepe. I still did got to enjoy my crepe. We loved how the sweetness of the ice cream, syrup and whipped cream is balanced out by the spot on saltiness of the crepe.

A few other downers were that the place is cramped and you get to hear every conversation topic from your neighbors at the next table and the plates, albeit still white and seemed squeaky clean ~ obviously needs to retire soon. Still, we're not closing our doors! After all, we discovered a new place to go to satiate our frequent crepe cravings.

Have I told you that my cravings are contagious? Want another proof? We're already planning our loooooong list of restaurants we've been wanting to try and we're bringing reinforcements! See you on our next nom nom adventures/ pig out sessions! :)
