I found myself in wandering in SM Aura Premier a few weekends ago. I was actually looking for a pastry store to buy a cake for a friend and felt being lured into this particular store with too good looking to eat bread with catchy, quirky names. I was quick to grab a tray and thongs and went berserk piling pretty breads on my tray. Right then and there, I knew I was in trouble.
Tsoknut Tart 35.00PHP or 2.67USD. The smoothness, creaminess and trademark taste hit the spot for me, as I am sure would be the same case for the majority of anything choco peanut flavored lovers. It's so simple, so unpretentious and yet so divine.
Chocolate Yema Muffin 55.00PHP or 4.19USD. Two of my favorites in one, you can never go wrong with this! I was transported back to my childhood days of eating towering yema candies to my heart's delight. Definitely a favorite of mine!
Benguet Strawberry and Cream Cheese 75.00PHP or 5.72USD. What's surprising about this, was that the strawberries were perfectly sweet! The bread was very fluffy and soft like that of an ensaymada.
Yema Ensaymada 80.00PHP or 6.10USD. Okay, I am obsessed with anything with yema. Please don't judge me, I can't help it that they're freaking delicious! <3
Caramoan Calamansi Muffin 45.00PHP or 3.43USD. The muffin was very dense, I tried to like it but it just fell short of my expectation.
Coron Calamansi Meringue 35.00PHP or 2.67USD. I thought that my sweet tooth was on a safe level but I amost shrieked with delight when I saw this behemoth. Unfortunately it was way too sour, in my opinion at least.
There were a few hits and misses but I'm still as giddy to try their other offerings. What I know for sure is this, this store knows the depths of my sweet tooth loving soul. I will be back for more. See you on my next pig out session!
