Good food is always best enjoyed in the company of great people, and there is no better way to bond than to do it boodle fight style! You won't need your fancy china and shiny cutlery here, your weapon of choice are your hands. Why not? After all, nothing beats the comfort and fun when eating with your bare hands, you aren't a true blue Filipino if you haven't!
First off, you will need a long table or several tables and make sure to sanitize them, please. Don't forget your cleaned banana leaves because plates are definitely a big no-no in a boodle fights.
Make sure you've got a lot of helping hands to arrange the food end to end, from the rice to spreading out the viands evenly, so that everyone can get a little of (or a lot) of everything.
Diversity is key. It is a big plus to have chicken, beef, pork, seafood and veggies on the table. Don't forget the dipping sauces!
A few tips, don't place all of your rice and viands on the table to avoid wastage. If it can't be helped you can always set aside the clean left overs and cook yummy fried rice for the next meal. Also, don't eat in a hurry! There's plenty to go around, so eat at your own pace. We were listening to some fast paced music and it seemed like we were in a eating contest, so don't be like us. :P
It doesn't take rocket science really, go and have a happy boodle fight! See you on my next pig out session. :)
Your pig out buddy,
Madz
