A Boodle Feast Fit for Kings at Blackbeard's Seafood Island

I don't particularly like getting my hands dirty, but if you invite me over for a boodle fight, I can instantly change my mind.

I met up with some of my former office mates this week for some serious catching up and chikka minute. What better avenue to do so, than over a boodle feast? Vigan Boodle Feast 1,395.00PHP or 29.16USD approx. According to their menu, this is best shared within 5-7 people. However, if you ask me, it can even feed 8 hungry, hungry hippos!

Food is such a magical thing, it can transport you to places you've never been and it can also open your gateway of memories. This delicious combination of pinapaitan, insarabasab, igado, pakbet de Vigan, poque-poque, bagnet, dinakdakan, grilled bangus, and Vigan longganisa rice will transport anyone to Ilocos region with one bite, as it did to me.

I veered away from Seafood Island for the longest time because I honestly thought they were overpriced, but I now see the error of my ways. Yes, the price may be a little on the steep side for those who are on a budget, but I personally vouch that you'll get your money's worth. Maybe have enough leftovers for takeaway, too! Have you tried other dishes and boodle feast selections at Blackbeard's Seafood Island? What are your staple orders and favorites? I'd love to hear them. See you on my next pig out session!
