Power Up with Some Damn Good Food at Megawatt, QC

Weekends are meant for chilling out, winding down and just living in the moment. It's when most people have the luxury of time to run their errands, and sneak in some much deserved R&R if there's still time. For folks like me who prefer hitting two birds with one stone, then I've got a great recommendation for you.

Conveniently located at the 2nd floor of a car wash, diners can grab some grub while their rides get pimped squeaky clean. Megawatt offers ridiculously delicious Tex-Mex food that are ideal for sharing, at affordable prices. Their menu offers a lot of choices, and I know how this can overwhelm almost everyone. You might wonder, is this place worthy enough for that much anticipated cheat meal? One need not worry, this place is worth the calories. <3

Cheese Cheese Cheese Pizza 315.00PHP or 6.79USD approx. Oh man, where do I even begin with this masterpiece? Imagine the perfect thin crust pizza, overloaded with a heady combination of Feta, Cheddar, Gruyere, Parmigiano and Mozarrella... because there's no such thing as too much cheese. We found ourselves polishing off everything, even the often forsaken outer crust. #tooyummeh #nowaste

Chicken and Fries 268.00PHP or 5.78USD approx (3 pcs). Another must-try, you can opt for a side of waffles, rice or fries (price varies). Megawatt knows the depths of my food loving soul, since they only serve the tastiest thick-cut fries.

Wait, I need a moment. Let's talk about their chicken, shall we? Juicy, and seasoned generously with rosemary, and a variety of spices it'll make you use your bare hands... because that's how a good fried chicken is meant to be eaten. The skin, oooooh the skin. Whether you eat it first, together with the meat or save it for last, it won't matter as long as you get every crispy inch.

I know sharing is caring, but for this one you might want to make an exemption.

Crunchy Mushroom Melt Burger 295.00PHP or 6.36USD approx. Megawatt knows that the only way to serve burgers is to serve it stacked and loaded! I didn't personally get to taste this, but from looks alone, I'd give this behemoth a solid 8.5/ 10.

Szechuan Seafood Garlic Burrito 235.00PHP or 5.07USD approx. If you have a serious love affair with seafood and carbs, then this burrito is meant for you. Loaded with shrimp, fish fillet and if my memory doesn't fail me, scallops too! This will delight every seafood lover out there. For those with more adventurous* palates, you can also try their controversial 29karat Surf and Turf Burrito. *Hint* foie gras~

Ube Milkshake 158.00PHP or 3.41USD approx. Megawatt also serves a variety of yummy milkshakes, served in the cutest light bulb glasses you'll encounter. Not only does it make for great Instagram pictures, but their milkshake also hits the spot. Creamy, not too heavy and aptly sweet. I'm sure these milkshakes have a following of its own, already.

I must say that a solar powered theme for a restaurant is quite uncommon, but the people behind Megawatt pulls it off quite flawlessly. From the interiors, the food, and up to the tiniest details, everything blends well.

So next time you find yourself in the QC area and in need of some certified comfort food, head on straight to Megawatt. If you're craving for their chicken like I am, then you are in luck, my friend. They have an ongoing Chicken All You can Promo that's valid every Wednesday, up to September 20, 2016. For more details, you may check their FB page (link below).  That's a great deal I wouldn't pass up on, because their chicken is the bomb!

By the way, you can also buy all sorts of items like dope shoes, Iron Man collectibles, power banks and more. How cooler can it possibly get? Let me know in the comments what your Megawatt staple orders are. See you on my next pig out session!
