Sometimes, it's a good thing to just pack your bags and go somewhere without thorough planning. That's what we did, and we stumbled upon this casual southern Chinese restaurant, right in the heart of the gorgeous Wynn Palace. Don't get intimidated by the gold tables though, their pricing is surprisingly affordable. 😄

New Toho Food Center #BinondoFoodTripSeries
Upon arrival, you'll notice that the restaurant interiors have definitely seen its better days. The kitchen however, is a different story...spacious, clean and obviously maintained with the utmost care. The moment we sat down, a seasoned waitstaff attended to us faster than the speed of light. I exaggerate, of course! Though needless to say, this century old restaurant has piqued my interest.

Yang Chow Chowdown: The Ultimate + 1PHP Weekday Deals at Super Bowl of China!
I'm happy to say that I had quite an event filled weekend. I joined my first fun run and ran 4K in the morning, headed home to rest for a bit and went to Super Bowl of China in Glorietta 4 to cover their Ultimate Yang Chow Chowdown Challenge. Truth be told, I was feeling really drained but the event was so interesting to miss and I'm always one to keep my word. :)

This Little Piggy Went Wee Nam Kee
Cute title if I do say so myself. Nyahaha! Okay, back to regular programming, despite having a food blog, there's still a lot of dishes out there that remains mysterious to me. So please don't think highly of me because I too, have not yet tasted everything, and I guess that's the beauty of it. There's still a lot of firsts waiting for me, that's why I really looked forward to pigging out at Wee Nam Kee and see what the fuzz was all about.

Restaurant Review: Munchers Inc.
Chili Con Carne Rice Bowl
PHP 79.00 or $ 1.82
I was pleasantly surprised when I received a restaurant food and service review invitation a few weeks ago for Munchers Inc. So I did a little search on Google to see how many people have dined and given their reviews online. My interest got really piqued with the glowing reviews online so I said YES! We were a bit late on the day of the review, no thanks to the unpredictable traffic. Good thing that the management still waited for us. :P

Mey Lin Pot And Noodle House
My love for Mey Lin's hand pulled noodles began mid 2009 I think, I'd have to thank my former officemate for letting BF and I know about their awesome food. Sadly though, since I'm currently working at home, and home is located in a far, far, far away place, when I crave for Mey Lin's noodles, I almost cry. Just kiddin'.
There are a few branches of Mey Lin Pot And Noodle House around but BF and I prefer to dine in with the one inside Megamall. After months of craving, our taste buds and tummies were finally satisfied after going to Pasig for a programming sideline of his, we made sure to drop by Mey Lin right after. (I actually ate nothing on the way so that I pig out!)
Upon being seated, they will give you a pot of lukewarm tea on the house. Frankly, I'm not much into tea, except if it's cold and flavorful. The taste is just subtle, but hey as I said I'm not a tea lover so I'm not really an expert in rating so let me steer clear away from that. :)

Chowking: Orange Chicken
Orange Chicken Meal
P84.00 or $1.8
If I get my "I want Chinese food" cravings and am too lazy or tired to actually go to the mall or any place farther than a 30 minute drive. I go for Chowking, I seriously dig their Emperor's Beef Noodles, Chao Fan and Halo-Halo.
But their Orange Chicken? Blech.
