大廚房 Big Kitchen at Mong Kok, Hong Kong

Of all the days that it had to rain buckets, it had to be during my much awaited 4-day vacation. 😒 However, that didn't dampen my spirit one bit! After all, it was the perfect moment to enjoy a hot, comforting and hearty bowl of laksa.

Lunch at The Plantation Bar & Bistro

What I like about working in Ortigas Center is that it's a gold mine of food adventures, just waiting to be discovered at each and every corner. The only catch is that things change so fast, sometimes within a blink of the eye. Located in what was previously Red Cloud GastroPub, is where The Plantation has firmly planted its roots. *ba dum tss*

Power Up with Some Damn Good Food at Megawatt, QC

Weekends are meant for chilling out, winding down and just living in the moment. It's when most people have the luxury of time to run their errands, and sneak in some much deserved R&R if there's still time. For folks like me who prefer hitting two birds with one stone, then I've got a great recommendation for you.

Dine Like a Viking at Hot Star Chicken Philippines

If there's one thing my office mates taught me, it's how to be a "budgetarian". Oh, you know! It's the fine, thin line of wanting a feast but at the fraction of the price. Good thing that there's Hot Star Chicken! From humble beginnings in Taiwan, Hot Star has captured the tummies hearts of many and expanded massively in Australia, Hongkong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Shanghai, Singapore and of course, here in the Philippines. I for one, am not surprised at their success. How can you not get addicted to a juicy piece of gigantic chicken that's fried to golden brown perfection? #foodgasm

Spread ♥ with Hershey's Kisses Deluxe #SayItWithABigKiss

9 out of 10 people like chocolate, the 10th person always lies. What's not to like? Rich and velvety smooth chocolate so delicate, that it gently melts and tickles your tongue. Then, it infiltrates your senses and sends out a happy buzz to last throughout the day. That, my friend, is why chocolates are awesome! So, this December, why not give the gift of chocolate and make someone's day? :)

New Toho Food Center #BinondoFoodTripSeries

Upon arrival, you'll notice that the restaurant interiors have definitely seen its better days. The kitchen however, is a different story...spacious, clean and obviously maintained with the utmost care. The moment we sat down, a seasoned waitstaff attended to us faster than the speed of light. I exaggerate, of course! Though needless to say, this century old restaurant has piqued my interest.

Lunch at Cafè Mary Grace, Rockwell Business Center Pasig

Inviting. Cozy. Those are just some of the exact words that can perfectly describe the warm interiors of the place. Cafe Mary Grace has been around, and for the life me, I just can't recall how come it took me so long to finally try it out. Better late than never, right?

DONUT Miss These New Treats from J.Co Philippines!

I was having such a lousy and stressful day a few weeks ago,  but the universe made it up to me when midway through a lengthy work related phone call, I was handed a package from my favorite donut company. I guess J.Co really knows the depths of my sugar loving heart!

Easy Peasy Laksa La Mian with Shrimp #PrimaTasteSeries

While I can't entirely say that I love rainy days, there's just something so relaxing about this so called 'bed weather' that I often find myself cravi ng for anything hot, rich and comforting.  And nothing spells more comforting than a bowl of laksa.

Food Tripping in Sagada, Mountain Province

One thing I love about traveling is being able to immerse myself with a wholly different culture than the one I've grown accustomed to, plus discovering immensely delicious local delicacies is a big, big plus! So, last week, after months of planning, my officemates and I headed to Sagada to celebrate our long weekend and no, this is not a #hugot post.

Merba's Dark Chococate & Hazelnut Cookies ♥

If you remember my impromptu S&R trip a few months ago, then you'd probably be able to connect the dots as to how I've gotten my grubby hands on this precious gem.

Singapore Chilli Crab La Mian #PrimaTasteSeries

I received a bundle of goodies a few weeks ago from Prima Taste Singapore, and I couldn't have been more stoked at having the opportunity to cook my heart out and experiment again in the kitchen. Truth be told, I tend to stick to Hainanese chicken and good old laksa that I have minimal to zero knowledge about other Singaporean based dishes. Then I picked up the Chilli Crab Noodle packet, and I've never been the same since.

Team Lunch Out at Red Cloud GastroPub

All work and no play can make anyone go grumpy and crazy in a matter of days. That's why with some devious planning and prodding, the team and I braved the heat and had a somewhat impromptu lunch out.

Creamy Sweet Potato Soup #HealthyEats

I've been bitten by the cooking bug lately, partly because dining out is costly but more so because I'm struggling with to keep my weight at an appropriate level. Well, what was I supposed to expect really? All that stress eating, add my sleeplessness and factor in my lack of physical activity and you have got a recipe for disaster! So, I've resorted to eating sweet potato to limit my rice and junk food intake. Sweet potato is good, but sometimes the good old boiling method gets a little too boring. So, I took it up a notch and made a hearty sweet potato soup and I swear, this soup's never boring.

No-Bake Mango Cheesecake with Oreo Crust

I'm no baker. The thought of cooking something new stresses me out like there's no tomorrow, that's why no-bake versions are a godsend! Now, all I had to do was fret and fuss about the filling. How hard can it be, right?

Pizza Party at S&R, Shaw Boulevard

Blame it on getting older or just call me plain out weird, but grocery shopping has a therapeutic effect on me. S&R has always been a magical place for me, all the more because I haven't been! That is, until this week. *wink wink*

Tri-Mo Shawarma Co., Revisited

One Saturday night, I braved the traffic from South going North just to have another bite of this famous shawarma. What should have been an hour and a half travel time stretched into a painfully long 3-hour drive. By the time we arrived, it was late, we were tired, we were grumpy and very, very hungry. This better be worth it.

Fridate at Tipsy Beans, Jupiter Makati

It's been almost a year since Yumi and I caught up with our former ACS/ Cognizant team mates, then the opportunity presented itself when the universe aligned all our work schedules just in time for Tipsy Bean's 2nd branch soft opening in the heart of Jupiter, Makati. You see, great timing is getting lucrative these days, so we grabbed the opportunity while it's still there.
