Creamy Vegetable Chowder with Bacon Recipe
I'm so used to the high prices of perishables in my local grocery, that I went a little overboard and hoarded all the vegetables my arms and eco bag could carry in my recent detour to Baguio. Ooops!

No-Bake Mango Cheesecake with Oreo Crust
I'm no baker. The thought of cooking something new stresses me out like there's no tomorrow, that's why no-bake versions are a godsend! Now, all I had to do was fret and fuss about the filling. How hard can it be, right?

Kani Dynamite Cheese Sticks v2.0
Call this my guilty pleasure, I don't care! It's a wonderful explosion of flavors and textures with each bite, and it's got me hooked ever since I first tried it. Well, the first attempt was an utter failure but I've learned from my mistake and made up for my cooking boo-boo with lots of practice. I just gotta say that though as cheesy as it sounds, practice does make perfect!

Chocolate Pancakes is Love
Several weeks ago, I woke up with a somewhat gloomy mood. So, I checked my kitchen cupboards immediately in search of an instant pick-me-upper. There, I found the answer. Chocolate pancakes!

Chicken Rolled Oats Caldo
“Everything I like is either illegal, immoral, fattening, addictive, expensive or impossible.” - sounds familiar? I thought so. Such are the woes of carbs-loving people like me, all I know is that I got to give in to my weekly monthly chicken arroz caldo cravings lest I spread doom and gloom throughout the universe!

Easy Peasy Avocado Dessert
Summer is here again and despite the seemingly unbearable heat, there's at least one thing that makes me happy, avocado season is upon us!

Instagram Roundup
I've been on a blogging funk lately, hence the lack of posts. I do have a legit excuse, I've been catching up on my sketching skills and it feels awesome. I feel bad though because reading, gaming, and blogging have been put in the backseat for the meantime. Fret not, I hope my Instagram roundup post will suffice at the moment. First off, Pizza Hut's Veggie Supreme Pizza (Stuffed Crust) with extra beef toppings!

Home Made Banana Chocolate Waffles
I've been spending too much time watching Cooking channels on YouTube lately that I bought a waffle maker on impulse. Not that I'm regretting my decision, who doesn't love waking up to crisp on the edges, sweetly addicting, and visually enticing waffles?

Crispy Chicken Soft Tacos
Ever since I started living alone I find myself frequently browsing cooking and recipe websites to see if I could whip up something new, you never know when you'll stumble on something so devilishly wonderful. Case in point, remember the no-cook refrigerator oatmeal post? I liked it so much that it's now breakfast staple of mine!

The Overnight, No~Cook Refrigerator Rolled Oatmeal Project: Apple Cinnamon & Mango Vanilla
I love healthy eating, but with the somehow limited choices I imposed on myself I was getting pretty fed up of munching on salads ever so often. I'm really glad I stumbled onto this recipe from The Yummy Life, because I have more healthy breakfast alternative choices at hand!

The Salad Project: Kani Mango Salad + Black Bean Salad
Me and Japanese cuisine, it's a love story that has been going on and going strong for years, but ever since I have been opting for healthier food choices, it's a given that I can't go on my usual sushi roll *sobs*. I could easily go on a sushi detox, but to stay away from kani mango salad? That's a different story.

The Salad Project
I have always loved eating my veggies (except bitter gourd) ever since I was a kid, and it's a good thing I still do, now that I'm an adult. Nowadays, people can easily fall and stick into the bad habit of unhealthy eating. I do know how hard it is to succumb to your hot fudge sundae craving, or your weekly milk tea fix, or a serving of those crisp golden fries or even letting your guard fall down for those sinful donuts you keep on seeing everyday on your way to work. I should know, I work near SM Mall of Asia. Imagine the temptations I fight everyday. *shudders*

Drunken Garlic Shrimps a la Madz
Truth be told I miss blogging, terribly. So this is my way of saying a quick hello and yes I'm still alive and kicking post. :)
I had been craving for shrimps for quite a few weeks now, and this week I gave in. Instead of using any liquor though, I used Sprite soda. These shrimps are not really drunk at all hahaha, but they tasted so good! I guess that's it for now, I'll just peek in again from time to time. Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers,
M

ACS Office Lunch Party from CCME Homemade Foodstuff Co.
Fish in Mayonnaise (Lapu-Lapu or Red Grouper)
PHP 700.00 or USD 16.35
What I missed about office based work is the frequent pig out sessions for multitudes of reasons, or some times lack of it! Last Friday was no exception, we were literally drowning with tons of food our team ordered from CCME Homemade Foodstuff Co. to celebrate [I believe to be about] 3 birthdays, and the last working day for one of our SQAs.

Home Made Dynamite Cheese Sticks aka Bazooka a la Chum
First attempt, actually. Chum calls this bazooka but it's also known as dynamite cheese sticks all over the web. The only twist is that Chum puts in slivers of crab stick inside each piece of carefully wrapped green finger chili.
How to make, you ask? It's super duper easy!

Office Packed Lunch [Series]: Cheesy Tuna Pesto With Black Olives
Apologies for the erratic posting. I've been so negligent with trying to maintain regular blog posts lately, and it's not that I'm dead beat to do it, but because I've been favoring other activities like voracious reading and movie marathons. Baaaaaaaaaaad. Must make use of my paid domain name! :P

The Best Home Made Congee Ever!
What I had for Maundy Thursday. No, Chum didn't cook this one because he had work, boo. Manang, our house helper is the one behind this hearty, thick, and rich congee that's really filling but is too good to resist that it made us go back for seconds.

Fiery Bicol Express a la Chum
They say women are innately gifted in cooking, I digress. Truth be told, my BF Chum is a hundred times better cook than I am and maybe ever will. Sure I like eating and relishing our pig out sessions but that's for when we dine out. When we eat at home for casual lunch or dinner together, I rarely set foot in the kitchen Chum rarely lets me set foot in the kitchen, he only grants me access as far as chopping ingredients :P.
I'm not complaining, in fact sometimes I quite like having nothing to do but wait and control myself as the wonderful smell of BF's cooking wafts through the air, case in point, his fiery Bicol Express.

BF's Awesome Home Made Arroz Caldo
The overused and scratched saying "A good way to a man's heart is through his stomach." isn't really exactly applicable here.
