Celebrating 5 Years With Chum @The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak

Last October 12, 2010 BF and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Initially we didn't plan to dine out that day, but on the day itself, I felt that it only happens once a year and it would be great to dine out, even somewhere not so fancy since we were trying to save up. BF got his medical exam results first, that showed no adverse results so that's great news for us. Then came the hard part, DECIDING WHERE TO EAT.

BF has been trying to play safe when it comes to restaurant and fast food choices, I on the other hand am willing to try almost anything once, and repeat if I get hooked. So the playing safe BF initially vouched for KFC, the man likes his gravy. I wasn't really feeling it since KFC branches are always crowded, noisy and somewhat unkempt, although the food is great nevertheless, I just wanted to steer clear of crowds and background noises for the day.

I was craving for rice since I only had little to eat that morning, a favorite place instantly popped into my mind, The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak! BF likes it there so he no qualms about my decision. :)

The Sizzlin' Pepper Steak: Pork Curry Pepper Rice

Is this a sign that BF and I are becoming Sizzlin' Pepper Steak addicts? Maybe so. Went to the mall last weekend to watch Alice in Wonderland (which was somewhat a bore), and what's a little date without food tripping and pigging out right?

We both agreed to dine at Sizzlin' Pepper Steak and decided to try something new to our taste buds from their menu. We both tried their Pork Curry Pepper Rice and as for me, it didn't wowed me. The pork wasn't that tasty even though I really can't complain about the serving quantity. Eating it also made my eyes watery since the curry powder was a little bit too strong for me.

I fell in love with their Beef Pepper Rice and their Crunchy Kani Salad, but with their Pork Curry Pepper Rice? Not really, but don't let that stop you from trying it, maybe it's just my picky taste buds.
